An Earthquake with 5.8 magnitudes shook Dhaka on Monday morning. Later, another earthquake shook Sylhet, Chattogram again within 12 hours at 4:40 am.
The Met Office categorized the earthquake as a moderate one with 93.24 longitude and 5.8 degree on the Richter scale and the vibration was felt at 4:40 am.
Earlier, on Sunday at 4:46 pm an earthquake of 5.1 magnitude shook the eastern part of Bangladesh,and the Indian state of Mizoram.
Like the previous one, today’s one also originated in Mizoram of India which is nearer to Chattogram in Bangladesh.
The quake was also felt near the border with India and Myanmar, said an official.
