Bangladesh has confirmed deaths of eight more Covid-19 patients in the last 24 hours, taking the country’s death toll to 214.
Besides, another 636 people tested positive for the deadly disease over the same period, pushing up the total number of confirmed cases to 13,770.
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Additional Director General (Administration) Prof Nasima Sultana revealed the latest figures in a daily online bulletin on Covid-19 situation from Dhaka on Saturday afternoon.
“All of the dead patients are male,” Additional Director General of Health Directorate Professor Dr Nasima Sultana made the disclosure during a virtual briefing today.
“Some 5,247 samples were collected in last 24 hours and 5,465 were tested,” she added.
Dr Nasima also said, “313 patients recovered from the virus during the time, increading the total number to 2,414.”
