Bangladesh witnessed 1,685 more patients free of COVID 19 breaking news in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of recoveries to 272,073 with a 76.97% recovery rate.
Besides, the country’s death toll from the virus now stands at 5,460 with 20 more deaths said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to press release, 12,605 samples were tested in 106 labs across the country in the last 24 hours. With this, 20, 39, 413 samples have been tested in the country so far.
The latest day’s infection rate was 11.43% of the total tests, though the overall rate in the country till date was 18.37%. The death rate stands at 1.44%.
The country’s maiden cases were reported on March 8 this year and the first death from the COVID 19 breaking news was reported on March 18.
