Bangladesh confirmed 1,453 more patients free of COVID-19 in Bangladesh the last 24 hours, raising the total number of recoveries to 2,91,365 and the recovery rate at 77.27 percent.
Besides, the country’s death toll from the virus now stands at 5,500 with 23 more deaths said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
A total of 1,203 new infections were recorded in the meantime taking the total number of people infected to 3,77,073, added the release Covid-19 in Bangladesh.
A total of 10,859 samples were tested across the country in the last 24 hours.
The country’s maiden cases were reported on March 8 this year and the first death from the COVID 19 breaking news was reported on March 18.
