Both deaths and infections from coronavirus decreased in Bangladesh in the last 24 hours.
At the same time, 1,780 more patients recovered from online Positive News Covid-19, taking the number of people making recovery to 299,229.
The country reported 1,600 new cases, down by 84 than Wednesday’s 1,684, during the period to bring the total to 384,559.
Besides, 15 more people succumbed to the virus, taking the death tally to Online Positive News 5,608, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), in the afternoon.
Of the new deceased, nine are men and six are women. Among the total dead, 4,314 or 76.93 percent are men while 1,294 or 23.07 percent are women.
14,104 samples were tested in 109 labs across the country in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,126,552 samples have so far been tested in the country.
The country’s maiden cases were reported on March 8 this year and the first death from the COVID 19 breaking news was reported on March 18.
