Bangladesh sees lowest Covid-19 deaths in 4 months

Bangladesh on Saturday confirmed 20 more deaths in 24 hours which is the lowest daily number of fatalities recorded in a day since May 28 when the country saw 15 deaths for COVID 19 BdNews.

The country recorded 1,182 more cases, down by 214 than Friday’s 1,396, during the period to bring the total to 3,67,565.

Besides, 20 more COVID 19 Bdnews patients died in the last 24 hours, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 5,325.

The recovery count rose to 2,80,069 after another 1,442 patients were discharged from the hospitals during the period, a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said on Saturday.

A total of 9,554 samples were tested at 109 authorized laboratories across the country during the time.

Of the total sample tests 12.37 percent tested positive, while 18.57 percent cases were detected from the total tests conducted so far, the release added.

Among the total infections, 76.20 percent patients have recovered, while 1.45 percent died so far since the first COVID-19 positive cases were reported in the country on March 8.
