The country today confirmed single-day record 46 deaths from the novel coronavirus and highest jump of 3,471 new cases of infection in the last 24 hours.
With this, the death toll from the deadly virus rose to 1,095 and the number of total infections stood at 81,523.
Additional Director General (Administration) of the Department of Health, Prof. Dr. Nasima Sultana gave this information in the online daily health bulletin about the situation in Corona at 2.30 pm on Friday.
He added that 502 people have recovered in the last one day. With this, a total of 17 thousand 249 people have recovered.
Earlier, the highest death toll in the country was 45 on June 9. The highest identification record was 3,190 set on June 10.
The bulletin urges everyone to wash their hands with soap and face hygiene to protect themselves from the coronavirus, as always.
